As our team of cyclists make their way into the more populated areas of Ontario (and a busy weekend of events in Deseronto, Perth and Ottawa), we thought we would look back at some of the exposure they’ve received recently:
- On Friday June 7, the team came across a group of 3 women riding across the country for Need2, the Victoria based charity we’d partnered with for our kick-off event. In their amazing blog we hear about the meeting of teams at the Terry Fox mermorial in Thunder Bay:
“It was such an honour to meet them, and at such an inspirational place too! Incredible.”
- Susan Crowe, one of the musicians that will be performing in Halifax on July 8, gets behind the ride on her website:
- The CBC continues to give the ride their support. Fresh Air, Ontario’s weekend morning show, featured the upcoming Ontario events in their What’s On selections on June 16.
- Ottawa based blogger, Hollie Grace Anne, encourages her readers to attend the event on Monday June 24.
- Bill also checked in for his weekly Friday night update on Alberta’s CKUA radio station with host and close friend, Andy Donnelly.
- And also could be heard on CJSR on Thursday morning, where he crouched into a teepee on the shores of Lake Superior:
Congratulations riders! This is an “IncredibleJourney” Planning to drive out to be in Deseronto on the weekend! So pleased you are getting so much attention here in Ontario. Good luck and God Bless each of you!
